The application journey in six easy steps
Applications are open for 2023-2024.
Brillantmont International School takes a holistic approach to reviewing the application of every candidate. In addition to academic achievements, we are looking for candidates who are open-minded and will thrive in an international community.
Step 1:

&
the student comes to the school for a visit and interview in person or has an interview by Zoom. This is very important and can take place before or after sending in the various admissions documents.
Step 2:
The family pay the registration fee of CHF 2’000 (this is non-refundable)
Step 3:
The school sends the Admissions tests in Mathematics and English. These are taken at home by the student, respecting the conditions as outlined in the tests. The answer sheets only should be returned to admissions@brillantmont.ch
Step 4:
The completed admissions file is reviewed by our Head of Admissions and the decision is communicated in writing:
- Acceptance
- Waiting list
- Refused
Step 5:
If accepted, Brillantmont sends an Offer of Admission and an Acceptance Form.
Step 6:
The family ticks all the boxes on the Acceptance Form and returns it to Brillantmont. This must be done within 10 days
&
the family pays the Admission Deposit within 10 days (CHF 12’000 for a boarding student or CHF 2’000 for a day student. This secures the student's place.
The admission is not final until the Admission Deposit is received. The Admission Deposit is refunded at the end of the student's stay.
What's next?
On receipt of the Admissions Deposit, the admission is confirmed and the student is now part of the Brillantmont community.
The Head of Academics will make contact in the coming days to talk about the academic programme and the new student will be connected to a "buddy". Information about arrival will be sent during the summer holidays.
Student visa:
Students who are staying for longer than 3 months and who do not come from a European country may require a student visa to enter Switzerland. Please refer to the website here to see which nationalities require visas. A student cannot enter Switzerland without the correct visa. The visa can take up to 12 weeks to process. Therefore, applications for the new school year must be made as soon as possible, to ensure that the student can commence the new school year on time.
It is the parents' responsibility to apply for the visa.
Student permit:
Once a student has arrived in Switzerland, Brillantmont will appy for a student residency permit.
